It was a wonderful ATHENA Luncheon at Baby Bulls honoring two very special women. Congratulations to Linda Lambert, Heartland Community College, for being awarded this international award. The ATHENA Leadership Award is presented to a woman, or man, who is honored for attaining professional excellence, community service, and for actively assisting other women to embody the ATHENA work ethic and live up to the potential that is already in them. Linda was nominated for these exact reasons and personifies the award.
Debi Ores, Niemann Foods, was our featured speaker. She is the Store Director at County Market having climb the ladder since beginning as a cashier and the age of 15. Debi also serves as the Chamber of Commerce Treasurer.

Thanks to PTHS Betsy Westergreen, Career and Community Services Coordinator and Business Teacher for all her hard work putting this together for our business community.
Tim Johnson, OSF, Tom Hinz, CAT and Cat were invited by District 429 Superintendent, Brian Dukes, to take a tour of the STEAM classrooms this week. It was an amazing time and we were quite impressed with the evolution of education and how up-to-date the district is with the technology they are using, but also in the way things are being taught. It was a great tour and we encourage anyone who would like to see for yourself, to contact the school and take this great tour. Special thanks to Brian and his staff for taking this time with us. Us “grown-ups” learned more than a thing or two.
