The Lodge at Evenglow held a groundbreaking ceremony and unveiled the plans to the new Lodge that will be built out at the Inn. Evenglow Senior Living opened in October of 1958 in response for a need for quality care for seniors. Mrs. Ada Swords was concerned about a number of retired people she new living alone who craved friendship and social relationships. Her legacy gift helped to establish a United Methodist retirement community that would be open to all regardless of religious affiliation. And as they say, “the rest is history”.
The new buildings will allow Evenglow to meet the need of residents and the community for generations to come.
