‘Tis the Season for Giving

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE CHAMBER?

As the Holidays are upon us, remember to spend local. In the Chamber’s efforts to practice what we preach; we held our Holiday Raffle 2020 giving away $1500 in Chamber Gift Certificates. We wanted to do something for the community while also giving back to our member businesses in “thank you” for their continued support through this trying time. As is the sign of them times; we held our raffle virtually during a Zoom meeting. CONGRATULATIONS to Tim Johnson from OSF Saint James Hospital! Upon learning of his good Holiday fortune from the Executive Board of the Chamber, Tim had this to say, “I plan to give all of it away to several individuals; some of who live in the area and others who may not live here but, work here. They may have a first experience at shopping local in Pontiac.”. Tim is such a gracious person that he also, donated $500 back to the Chamber. We decided to continue the act of giving by drawing 5 winners of $100 each! So, congratulations to Brad Solberg, Tina Trevino, Rhonda Hodges, John Weaver and Frank Nestor!

Please, keep your holiday dollars local and help out our neighbors. Our community needs us all to support each other right now; something the Pontiac area already does day in and day out. If you have found your office holiday party has been cancelled this year, might I suggest purchasing Chamber gift certificates to give to your employees in place of their meal. I’ve always said our gift certificates are “the gift that always fits”! To expedite your certificate order, call or text 815-848-3297 or email director@pontiacchamber.org and we’ll get them ready and arrange a convenient pick-up time for you. Talk about your one stop gift shop!

If you’re interested in membership or would like to renew your membership; drop an email to director@pontiacchamber.org or call or text 815-848-3297and let me show you the great benefits we have to offer here at the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce. From the entire Board of Directors and myself, we wish you the Happiest and Safest of Holidays! We’ll talk again in 2021.

Stay healthy, Cat Coppinger-Executive Director
