Beyond the Farm at Issues & Eggs

The March 29 Issues & Eggs stretched ‘Beyond the Farm’ with Jesse and Mary Faber. Jesse Faber is an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Pontiac Township High School. Mary Faber is the controller for Graymont Cooperative Association.

Mary shared why it is important for those in agriculture to be a trusted source when explaining common marketing terms like factory farming, GMO, antibiotics and hormones.

Jesse shared the diversity in jobs and careers in agriculture, and how there are plenty of jobs in agriculture right here in Livingston County that expand beyond farming.

Thanks to Edinger’s Filling Station for providing a great breakfast.
